About Us

Tango Parrot is dedicated to Tango who will be forever in my heart.

Rebecca, a ceritifed aviculturist, Historian for IBC, which is the oldest continuous Bird Club in Florida for over 25 years, and Delegate for the Central Florida Division, of the American Federation of Aviculture.

She is in servitude to 7 sun conures, a magna double yellow headed Amazon parrot, a rat terrier dog, a lake full of fish and turtles and a huge abundance of all species of many breeds of birds. The property on which she resides was recently certified in 2008 as a Wild Life Habitat, and is refuge to owls, birds, hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, and a whole range of species of wader and fishing birds, as well as sandpipers.

Dogs have masters, birds have staff, cats think, "It's all here for me". At one time Rebecca considered breeding her sun conures, but the first hatch of chicks were so cute and she bonded so closely with them she could not let them go. In order to get one of her "children" you had to go through an application, interview process, a home study and guaranteed visitation rights. LOL

Rebecca's experience and attentiveness to the birds has helped her develop toys, treats and activites that parrots enjoy and are beneficial for them.

Below is Lovey, almost grown up. Lovey is one of Tootie's babies who went to a wonderful parront, Megan.

This is Pretty Girl, a female fallow green-cheeked conure who lives with Lovey, Megan & Dulick.

Below is Pipster, (first picture right baby), who went to live with another wonderful parront, Stacey, in Arizona.  Pip also lives with Scooby, Pancho, and Wasabi.

Below are all four of Tootie's babies after they just learned to perch, and before they were all grown up. All babies, (from right to left) are Squeeky, Pip, Lovey & Jingles who all turned out to be adorable and very loving sun conures.

Here is Squeeky & Jingles who stayed with us. So now we are 8 feather monkies
